Under its Wing
2025
In the series Under Its Wing, a world is formed, hidden, and transformed to explore the poetic tensions between protection and flight through the symbolic figures of the bird, the wing, and the cocoon. Agnès Jennepin weaves a sensitive dialogue between the fragile and the powerful — the wing that envelops as much as it protects, the flight that liberates but requires renunciation, the delicate cocoon that ensures emergence. The artist’s confident mastery of the gesture of erasure on glass, of light touches and blurring, reveals a silent presence, a voluntary withdrawal — a space to breathe, allowing for a three-dimensional perception. Under Its Wing is an invitation to immerse oneself in hushed intimacy — a suspended space.
