Where Sea, Sky and Light Meet

I've always found pieces of myself in the sky. When I painted Heavy with Life, I wasn't trying to paint a storm. I was painting that moment we all know—the moment when life feels heavy, yet somewhere deep inside we sense that things are about to change. The clouds carry enormous weight, but they are also filled with life. The earth waits quietly beneath them, knowing the rain will come. For me, this is a painting about hope that arrives before certainty. It reminds me that even when we cannot yet see the answer, the light has already begun its journey. I paint with layers of texture because life is layered too. As the light changes throughout the day, new colours and details appear, allowing the painting to reveal itself a little differently each time you look at it. My greatest wish is that someone will live with this painting and, on the days when life feels heavy, look up at it and remember that every storm carries the possibility of renewal.
