I am a Brazilian photographer born in Rio de Janeiro in 1970, and my relationship with the camera began early, fueled by a constant curiosity about how light reveals the world. After years working extensively in studio photography, fashion editorials, and event documentation, I came to understand that my true vocation lay elsewhere: in the deliberate exploration of what I discover in the world, from remote landscapes to the often-overlooked beauty of urban life. My photographic practice concentrates on spaces that go unnoticed—plazas, churches, streets, rivers—where the geometry of nature reveals a visual order that most people disregard. I work from the conviction that beauty exists everywhere, waiting only to be contemplated and, more importantly, protected. My photography explores the richness of colors and forms present in both urban and natural environments, using the camera as an instrument for raising awareness about environmental preservation. Through an approach that privileges careful observation and deliberate composition, I seek to expand the viewer's perception, inviting them to truly see—and consequently value—the world we inhabit. My work is grounded in the idea that photography is an act of resistance against indifference; it is the visual record of a silent appeal for the preservation of all that surrounds us.
